Why Uk Car Insurance Is Much More Expensive When Comparing With Any Other Eu Country?
For example, to insure the vehicle in UK I’d need to pay about £2500, but abroad I’ll pay maximum of £400 for the same vehicle with same specs. and all the data about me. What is the reason that UK insurance companies charge so much?
thanks

£2500 is very high for an insurance quote, unless you have a bad driving history and an over expensive car. Have you checked places like confused.com for better quotes?
There can be other things that come into play too. If you are from continental Europe and have a left hand drive car for instance…
I’m also interested in which site you’ve used to get your foreign quote – was something lost in translation?
Also keep in mind that things simply cost different amounts in different countries…

I’m guessing you’ve never heard of the phrase ‘rip off Britain’.
Everything in the UK is usually always more expensive than the same items in other countries. Generally the British government loves to tax the people very heavily.
Plus I don’t think the price difference is that much, a £2,100 price difference seems a bit excessive to me, check the prices again but they will still cost more in the UK nonetheless.

I remember in 1990 I was a chef in Berlin and my rent for a 3 bedroom flat was a tenth of my wage.
But when I moved to London and worked for an ever more prestigious restaurant, my rent was HALF my wage for a flat that was HALF as big.
So i am not surprised to see that your standard of living hasn’t improved but has in fact gone down the drain. The Pound has become near worthless.
You can blame it on the EU! lol.

It all boils down to the Brits being in their own little corner, doing things differently from the rest and paying the price for it.

Here in NI you would pay more than the rest of the UK because of the troubles!
