At My Wits End With Indian Call Centre Staff What Uk Based Car Insurance Company?
Im going to change Insurance companies we have no claims for 4 years with Norwich Union. Im trying to find UK based company that doesnt put me through to Indian call centres. Please tell me your experiences with particular UK based companies that have no outsourcing to call centres and have great customer service? Thanks

I’m with MoreTh>n. They provide you with an account manager who you can speak to everytime you phone, regardless of query. He knows all your information etc, so you don’t have to keep repeating yourself to Daleks..
An added bonus, I find there premiums to be quite competetive.
Hope this helps.

If I were you, I would use a local insurance broker. You will be able to deal with a local person who will happily give you their name so you can speak to them again, and they will be able to give you a selection of quotes from a panel of different insurers so you can chose the one that’s best for you. Your broker will also be able to help you if you ever need to claims and you won’t spend a fortune on hold to premium rate numbers. Have a look at Yell.com for brokers in your area or alternatively, there is a broker who uses yahoo answers often called Dan Insurance Man – he’s really good – drop him a line and he can give you contact details.

I totally agree, i now pick my banks, insurance, energy etc partly on the basis whether they support the UK economy.
In terms of insurance companies, direct line has UK based call centres, but most of them advertise so if you go on to their websites they will promote if they are UK based.

direct line
quinn direct – ok its ireland but at least you dont get some indian accent saying “‘ello my name is ralph, how may i help you” – like how many indians called ralph do you know.
aparantly it puts us more at ease if we think we a talking to someone English.

Kwik Fit are based in Scotland and are very good on the phone. They do provide a good price but also try to sell additional items. I insure with them and would recommend

I went with an insurer called performance direct ( or was it quoteline direct? mmmmm?) who are part of a bigger outfit but theyre based in Trafford, Manchester.
I even went in to pay it in cash!
Good luck.
And aint it funny when some guy called Bob or Steve rings u and they can hardly speak english?

If you are having difficulty finding car insurance over the phone why don’t you try looking online, it would be unwise to miss out on a decent premium just becuase of communication problems. I get my insurance from moneysupermarket, they find car insurance quotes from UK companies so you could try them

try any one of the RBS (royal bank of Scotland) insurance companies like direct line or Churchill.
