Rather Than A National Heathcare Program, Why Not Just Make Heathcare Insurance Mandatory?

When I first start driving a car, auto insurance wasn’t mandatory. Guess what? Most people didn’t buy it, and policies were expensive as a result. When the state passed a bill requiring auto insurance, the free market drove the price of insurance down. The same would happen with health insurance.
