Hi,
I’m buying a 1996 Corolla. It comes with VIPER anti-theft. I’m a male with one speeding ticket. How would I go about finding the best deal for car insurance? The best deal I got was from geico, the bare minimum plan I think, for $600 / 6 months. They also gave me the good student discount. The last owner of the car payed $300 for 6 months.
Any tips and tricks to lower my insurance rate? Any other discounts that I can ask for? like a good student discount etc? I Continue reading..

I am doing an Essay on Public VS. I live at college in pa for almost 8 months out of the year and I am only home for 3-4. In order to drive legally can I just be added to my dads progressive car insurance for just those 3 months I am home or do i have to be on all year and if im on there all year, can they make the payments lower since i am not driving?

My daughter is four hundred miles away at college and doesn’t have a car there. She comes home between terms and uses our car. My auto-insurance agent says I don’t get a break even though for most of the year she doesn’t drive. I’m not sure it’s possible or practical for me to keep dropping her and putting her back for every vacation. Isn’t there a standard way that auto insurance companies handle students who live far away from home?

I live in New Jersey where the auto insurance is relatively expensive. However, I go to college in South Carolina where the auto insurance is a lot cheaper than in New Jersey. How can I get the cheaper South Carolina auto insurance? Do I need a South Carolina driver’s license to do this? Should I buy a car from a South Carolina dealership?
