All Turbos require premium fuel. So if you add a Turbo Kit to the DelSol, you will need Premium fuel.
The Del Sol is a FWD Honda Civic with a different body and a weaker 106HP engine.
Turbo Kits alone cost $2500-4500 for Honda's. You cannot just install a turbo. You need the intercooler, intake, piping, and other parts to make the turbo work without blowing your engine.
The S2000, as you well know, is RWD and handles much better with the sport tuned suspension.
It would take lots of money to make it as fast and handle nearly as well as the Honda S2000.
I think it would be cheaper in the end to buy an S2000.

I had to make this same choice. I chose a del sol and swapped a b18 in to it. for the money youd spend on the s2k you could build an LS Vtech Turbo Del Sol.

No matter how many times you ask this, the S2000 will win. The B16 is VERY rare stock in the Del sol, and if you find one I GUARANTEE it will be beat on until no end and will need some help. If you turbo the car IT HAS TO RUN PREMIUM GAS. The b16 DOES NOT HAVE A 9,000 rpm redline, its 6,800-7,200. If you piece together a turbo kit for $2,000 you will be buying either garbage or someone else's headache. Look at it like this, a quality manifold BY ITSELF is between $800-$1,200, a turbo like a Garrett T3/T4 .60 trim is $900, intercooler NAME BRAND,no knockoffs that are junk will be about $700, piping kit which fits your car and requires less couplers to minimize air leaks $500, injectors $500, fuel management/engine management $500-$2,000, necessary oil lines, brasss fittings, etc...$1,000. And even after all this it will STILL be slower than the STOCK S2000, if you are running stock internals and only using 7-8 psi in the B16.
