Ideas On First Car?
I’m about to start my driving lessons, and I need a car that is reliable, well built and safe. Of course, I need low tax and insurance too, good fuel economy isn’t essential.
My ideal car also has to be cheap to buy. I’ll be looking for a used car, probably from the bargain section of Auto Trader.
I was thinking a Volvo 340 would do the trick, however horrible it may be to drive.
Anybody got any ideas on what I should look for?

A good american car that has toyota parts, and I’ve driven it for years is a Chevrolet Geo Prism
Mileage is good and it’s inexpensive to care for. My auto is a 1993 and it still runs well. Don’t know what yr. your interested in but current models (within last 5 yrs) still receive good reviews.
Subaru’s are also good vehicles though I don’t know the price. My cousin had hers up to 200k miles.
Also if you buy from an elderly couple you probably will be better off– less miles on vehicle and always in better condition.

A Volvo or a Saab would be a great first car for a guy if you can afford it. They have good safety ratings, and will help keep you alive long enough to learn some real world driving skills. But there are others that you could get as well. You can research different models below, or do a search for “car safety ratings”.

well your young so unless you get a bike cycle than insurance it gonna be killer
