I called Allstate first since I’m on my parents insurance and that’s the company they’re with, and they quoted me around 169 for LIMITED torte. Now, the car I want is a Mazda Miata mx-5 hardtop convertible and I realize that will be a bit more expensive to insure. I called State Farm and they gave me around the same rate. Here’s the deal. I had a motorcycle in 2006 and I received 2 tickets. One was a 15 mph over the posted limit and another was a wreckless driving for riding a wheelie. That gives me 11 points on my WV driving license. My current Insurance company (the same one I had my motorcycle insured through) evidentally has not ran an MVR because my premium for liability on my car has actually went down over the course of the past two years. I just switched my car insurance over the phone. During the process, I mentioned I got two speeding tickets in 2008 (These are the only two tickets I have ever gotten). A few days later, when I got the paperwork in the mail, I noticed they put that I received speeding tickets in 2009. I called and had it removed, but I didn’t mention that I got two tickets in 2008. Right now I am with nationwide paying 81.10 a month. To get the same plan with progressive would be 56.02 a month. If you have progressive or used progressive before, are you happy with it? Nationwide has always been great for me, they’ve always come through and I have accident forgiveness and minor violation forgiveness with them, I know that my rates won’t go up if something happens to my car. I was online getting quotes from Progressive, Geico, ETC… My point is I put down all of my real info.
