What Company Offers A Good Affordable Rate For Car Insurance In The State Of Maryland?
I’m just moving out of Virginia into Maryland and I am very overwhelmed by the high premiums that I will have to pay oppose to the lower premiums that I was paying for 2 cars in Virginia.
Does anyone know a good cheap car insurance company?
Thanks!

Maryland has VERY high rates, if you’re looking for something to compare to the VA rates . . you’re not going to FIND it. There are just more losses, more traffic, and more lawsuits, that’s all there is to it.
Your best bet is to go to one or two independent agents, ask them to get you 4-5 quotes EACH, and compare that way. But they’re ALL going to be in the same ball park.

Not only check out low cost, but make sure what you’re buying is worth it. There’s some things you just wouldn’t buy at the dollar store and insurance shouldn’t be one of them.
Amica Insurance has won the JD Powers award for soemthing like 6 years straight for customer service and is the #2 rated company in the country in Consumer Reports.
I’ve had insurance with them for years as have my family.

Meet with a local insurance agent in the town you will be moving to. Have them review your coverages. They may find some discounts to add or some coverages that you don’t need. Pretty much in every state, there are certain areas or zip codes that cost more than others to live in. Are you going to be living in an apartment or buying a house? If your renting, ask the local agent what local zip codes are cheaper. If you are already tied into a lease you’ll atleast be ready for next year.

Better to get quotations from most of the companies available there and select the lowest for yourself.
