Can I Issue A Complaint On My Auto Insurance Company?
I recently purchased a vehicle and drove off with temporary insurance from the dealer. It’s about to expire and I have been receiving calls both on my cell and work. I understand that they want me to continue to have insurance from the same company so they keep calling back to inform me of the different quotes they have found. And I don’t mind having the same insurance.
BUT just the other day my co-worker told me they had called work and asked for me. I was off that day. So, the proper thing for the guy to do would be to leave a message and hang up. Instead, he asked what kind of a job is it, where is it located and had offer her a discount if she would switch her insurance company in exchange for OUR discount. Not only that but the guy also was giving a few personal information about my purchase of the car and insurance.
Yes, she is my co-worker but that doesn’t matter. He shouldn’t be talking to anyone about my insurance or car purchase but myself.
I am really upset! Should I issue a complaint and if so, what can I say about this issue?

Every state has an insurance commissioner who handles complaints regarding insurance companies. Most have online complaint forms you can submit.
A Department of Insurance complaint is a big deal and gets a company’s attention.
That is what I would do.

are you a secure driver? do you could have tickets? have you had fault mishaps? So so providers consider in to considerations not just the damages which you have been at fault however the ones that have been not your fault.

Oh, boo-hoo. Your dumb coworker gave the private information so be mad at her, not some robot trying to sell some insurance over the phone. This is nothing to be upset about …
Sheeeze.

you are the purchaser of the insurance and if you intend on maintaining it then write and copy the letter to the agent and the superior in his office explaining this information is private , they can leave a message on your phone or email you and wait for your reply when you have time available to address this with them ,in the meantime they need to refrain from calling and giving our private information in regard to you to other people , in addition when you purchased the vehicle if its on a payment basis your loan should have already had that information and so should the insurance company and if that doesnt work then go insurance shopping to what you can afford and address the confidentiality issue as well
